Grand Master Newton has issued a new edict in which he says that counties rated as a level 3 (red) health emergency may still hold meetings at the discretion of the Worshipful Master. If the county's rating reaches level 4 (purple), all in-person activities cease. At the moment, Franklin County (where the lodge is located) is level 3. We will continue to meet while we are at level 3, but social distancing will be enforced. IF YOU CAN NOT OR WILL NOT WEAR A MASK while moving about the lodge (including ritual), please stay home. If you are ill or have been exposed to someone with a positive test for Coronavirus, stay home. If we are declared a level 4 area, then all meetings will be cancelled and rescheduled. In the event this occurs, we will return to Zoom meetings.
Tuesday, July 21, we will confer the Master Mason degree on two candidates. The meeting will begin at 7pm (with BYO Dinner at 6). We will confer these degrees together, so we will not have too late a night. Only the speaking parts will do most of the floorwork, but at the end, other brothers may participate in the procession. AGAIN, MASKS MUST BE WORN WHEN ENTERING, LEAVING AND MOVING ABOUT THE LODGE.
Coming up in August, we'll have meetings on August 4th (7:30) and August 18th (7pm). The August 18th meeting will include an education component done by ZOOM, so our out of town members may participate. More details coming soon.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hestiate to contact me.
